Thanos's Personal log - Episode 35

Pushing forward towards the chance to ask the Oracle of Tries a question was utter insanity and looks like it cost the lives of hundreds of people. I am saddened by the loss of so many. The pentathlon was nearly an impossible event. It began with a 5.4km swim across a very cold lake. Then pushed onto a 200+ km bicycle race. The next leg was a 2.4 km freestyle climb up a cliff face in under 12 hours. Then we had to run 42 km in under two and a half hours. The final leg of the race was skiing down an 8km hill. Only those 72 who made the entire race were to be given a question but in the end only 54 of the 1,000+ people who tried, survived till the end. I can’t stress the horrors of trying this race and had I known the difficulties up front, I would have walked away. Chi, Karr, Matt, and myself made it but several of our friends fell out during the foot race. Tom was so close but missed the time by seconds and we can only assume that he is now dead. Was it worth it? I really don’t know. What is getting an answer to a question that you are guaranteed is accurate and complete? I could possibly save Andoria from destruction. I could sell this question for a kingdom. I am so conflicted by this situation and know not what to do.
