Campaign of the Month: January 2012
Star Trek Late Night
Gamorreans are green-skinned, porcine creatures from native to Gamorr. Their tendency toward violence makes them valued as criminal enforcers; though viewed as mindless brutes, they don’t care so long as they are paid to fight.
Gamorrean civilization revolves around the never-ending wars between their clans. Preferring large melee weapons in combat, many see ranged weapons as cowardly. Males live to fight; females farm, hunt, and manufacture weapons. Inter-clan hatred rarely fades, and anyone hiring Gamorreans should be aware of their clans to avoid infighting.
Personality: Gamorreans are brutish, violent, and proud. They respect physical prowess and have no problem facing death against a foe they feel they are on at least equal footing with.
Physical Description: Gamorreans average about 1.8 meters tall, with thick green skin covering powerful muscles. Close-set eyes, a thick snout, tusks, and small horns give them a distinct look.
Homeworld: The pre-industrial world of Gamorr
Languages: Gamorreans speak Gamorrean. They have no written version of the language. They can learn to understand but not speak other languages.
Example Names: Gartogg, Jubnuk, Ortugg, Ugmush, Venorra, Warlug
Adventurers: Some Gamorreans leave their homeworld as slaves but later escape or buyout their contracts. Others sell their contracts, finding employment as bodyguards or enforcers. A Gamorrean is constantly at war; it’s only a matter of figuring out who the enemy is. Gamorrean heroes tend to select the soldier class.

This weapon favored by Gamorrean hunters consists of a heavy axe blade mounted on a simple wood handle. The arg’garok is perfectly balanced to take advantage of the Gamorrean’s low center of gravity and enormous strength. Arg’garok are often acid-etched with jagged runes that supposedly inspire courage, honor, and strength.
Cultural Item: M’uhk’gfa (Gamorrean Battel Plate)
Traditionally, each suit of Gamorrean battle plate is pieced together using metal fragments gathered on the battlefields – trophies of the wearer’s victories. A Gamorrean warrior would take immense pride in constructing his own m’uhk’gfa. Adding new pieces to it after each battle won. With the assimilation of the Gamorreans into the Republic, and later the Empire, the traditon of crafting one’s own m’uhk’gfa has waned to the point where most Gamorreans buy pre-fabricated battle plate ‘off the rack’ instead of building it themselves.
A m’uhk’gfa consists of metal plates bound by thick leather straps. A high, segmented collar protects the neck; thick plates surround the torso, while the heaviest plates adorn the shoulders. Thinner sheets are strapped to the arms to allow freedom to swing melee weapons. A heavy helmet, usually bearing oversized prongs that sheath the wearer’s own horns, completes the set.
Every Gamorrean appreciates the simple effectiveness of the traditional thogk, which literally translates to ‘log with a spike in it’. These cheap, heavy clubs are available anywhere Gamorreans congregate. Gamorreans wh craft their own thogks take great pride in pounding the weapon’s metal spike through the meter-long chuck of gorgt wood with their bare fists. Lacking gorgt wood, Gamorreans might make thogks out of any available lumber.
